FAQs

Virtual Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) provides structured, comprehensive mental health and/or substance use treatment through secure online sessions. Clients participate in multiple groups per week, along with individual support, while continuing to live at home and maintain daily responsibilities.

Virtual IOP may be appropriate for individuals who:

  • Need more support than traditional outpatient therapy

  • Are stepping down from a higher level of care

  • Need structured treatment but cannot attend in-person programs

  • Have work, school, caregiving, or transportation barriers

  • Prefer receiving care from the privacy and comfort of home

Final determination of appropriateness is made through a clinical screening and assessment.

We intentionally design our program to remove common barriers to care. Key differences include:

  • Multiple scheduling blocks (Daytime, Extended-Hours, and Late Night)

  • Rapid access to care, with many clients able to start within 24–48 hours

  • Clear, fast insurance verification, often completed within 30 minutes

  • Strong care coordination with referring providers (with consent)

  • Virtual-first design, built specifically for online delivery

  • Client-centered treatment planning, not one-size-fits-all programming

We offer three primary program blocks to meet diverse needs:

  • Late Morning / Afternoon IOP Block

    11:00 AM – 2:30 PM CST

  • Evening IOP Block

    3:00 PM – 6:30 PM CST

  • Late Night IOP Block

    7:00 PM – 10:30 PM CST

This flexibility allows clients to access treatment around work schedules, school, parenting, and other responsibilities.

We work to connect clients to care as quickly as possible, and many are able to begin treatment within 24–48 hours once benefits are verified, screening is completed, and intake paperwork is finished.

Referrals can be initiated by clients or providers by phone, text, or email. Our team:

  1. Verifies insurance benefits

  2. Completes an admissions screening call

  3. Schedules an intake with a case manager if virtual IOP is appropriate

  4. Supports timely program placement and start of care

Discharge planning begins early and is designed to support continuity of care. It includes:

  • Aftercare recommendations

  • Coordination with outpatient providers

  • Referrals to additional supports when needed

  • Ongoing communication with referring providers (with consent)

Following discharge, clients are also invited to participate in our alumni program, which includes a weekly 12-step meeting on Mondays to support continued connection and recovery.

That’s exactly what the screening and assessment process is designed to determine. Our Admissions team reviews symptoms, history, current supports, and needs to ensure virtual IOP is clinically appropriate and to help guide next steps if another level of care is recommended.
