What Is IOP

Structured treatment you attend — then go home.

An Intensive Outpatient Program sits between residential care and weekly therapy. You participate in clinical treatment several days a week, then return to your own home, job, and family each day.

IOP is clinically appropriate after completing detox or residential care, or when your situation needs more than weekly check-ins but doesn’t require 24-hour supervision.

  • Continue working or attending school
  • Sleep in your own home each night
  • Build real-world recovery skills in context
  • Family involvement supported throughout

The Inneractions IOP

A program built around your whole person

Each person enters with a tailored treatment plan. Our clinical team addresses substance use alongside the co-occurring mental health conditions that are almost always part of the picture.

Group Therapy

Process-oriented groups covering relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and peer accountability in a confidential setting.

Individual Counseling

One-on-one sessions with your primary therapist to address personal history, trauma, and the patterns driving substance use.

Dual Diagnosis Support

Psychiatric evaluation and medication management for co-occurring anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders — treated alongside, not after, substance use.

Family Involvement

Structured family therapy and education for loved ones — because sustainable recovery involves the people around you.

Psychoeducation

Sessions on the neuroscience of addiction, stress response, and the coping skills that make recovery a sustainable process.

Discharge Planning

Step-down planning begins on day one — connecting you to sober living, outpatient therapy, and community support before you complete the program.

Is IOP Right for You

IOP works well when…

IOP is clinically appropriate for people whose situations allow them to live at home while receiving structured support.

01

You’ve completed detox or residential care

IOP is a proven step-down, maintaining structure while reintroducing daily life.

02

Work or family commitments make inpatient impractical

Morning and evening schedules are designed so treatment fits around your life.

03

You need more than once-a-week therapy

Weekly counseling alone is often not enough in early recovery. IOP provides the frequency that early recovery requires.

04

Co-occurring mental health needs require attention

Anxiety, depression, and trauma rarely resolve without being addressed directly alongside substance use.
